Service Area — Austria Motorway Network

Vignette-Obligated Roads

The Austrian vignette is required on all motorways (Autobahnen, A-roads) and expressways (Schnellstraßen, S-roads) managed by ASFINAG. The network covers approximately 2,200 km of high-speed roads connecting all major Austrian cities and crossing into neighbouring countries.

Federal roads (Bundesstraßen, B-roads) and regional roads do not require a vignette. However, using these roads instead of motorways will significantly increase journey times.
